Northern Skies of Northern Quebec
I’m feeling a little poetic this morning, wistful even… i’m packing for our big trip up north, a host of shows in my native province, and even native region of my family. If you can believe it, my mother (born in Sept-Iles), is even tagging along, she will be our tour guide through this lush and rich in tradition land. I can’t wait to send postcards from the road of my discovery…we are playing Tadoussac, fermont, Labrador City and Havre St-Pierre.

I went to Sept-Iles about six years ago and it’s a beautiful place with some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I saw your show at the theater in Chateaugay last saturday. You were all stunning! I loved the music you wrote and the harmonies are just plain gorgeous. I can’t wait to see you again. You make people feel good and I know you’ll have a long career doing what you love. Don’t get caught up in all the flash, you’re way too good for that. I haven’t enjoyed a performance as much as yours since I saw Levon at John Gills farm last year in Hurley, New York. Each year he puts on a free ramble there with special guests. It’s wonderful. I’ll bet some day you’ll be invited to perform at one of his rambles! Good luck and have fun, life goes by way too quickly. p.s. if I was younger I’d be groupie!

I hope you enjoy playing in Fermont (where I spent the first 4 years of my life!!!). Your live performances always being remarkable, there is no doubt the crowd will enjoy the show! Have a blast, don’t pay attention to the ragged-ass roads, breathe the fresh air and look at the landscape! I have to admit there are times when I miss it!

Hello Ladies of the Canyons! I wish you’d come down to the states…specifically Western Massachusetts. Love to see you play. You girls are the greatest girl group to ever hit the pavement! Keep on with your own style and don’t let the record companies rule who you are!
